Hamish Walker

Having lived in the Wakatipu basin and represented the area in parliament, Hamish knows the Queenstown area inside and out. Hamish loves helping people reach their goals and dreams.

His previous experience includes founding a property management business in Auckland which he successfully franchised and sold, and he?s worked in the banking and accounting industries.

Over the years he has served the community in roles including a board director on the Otago Rugby Union and as a member of the Otago/Southland Lotteries Committee.

Hamish is also a former first-class rugby referee and previously sat on the Otago Rugby Board and Otago/Southland Lotteries Committee. This experience, and his time as a hard-working MP, ensures he knows how to get the best result, with strong marketing and negotiation skills.

Hamish believes the key to success and delivering results is listening and understanding what the ideal outcome is for both parties based on their aspirations. Trust is important on both sides and Hamish sees himself as a hard worker, enabling open and transparent dialogue. It?s the Southern way of doing things.
