More about the Area: Duntroon is an area well known for its limestone formations, Maori rock drawings, dinosaur fossils of the "Vanished World" and historical Duntroon Hotel Pub known for its great meals. The Waitaki river and lakes are just up the road for hunting, fishing and water activities. The Alps 2 Ocean Trail is a cycle trail that extends more than 300 kilometres from the Alps of Aoraki / Mount Cook to the Pacific Ocean/Oamaru.
